I joined Blakeslee & Blakeslee in 1998 as a part-time administrative assistant. After graduating from Cal Poly in 2006 I acquired the various licenses needed to be a planner and in 2010 I began my own practice, Hiltscher Financial Services, within B&B.
My favorite part of being a financial planner is working with people. I love the personal interactions and getting to know my clients and their families. Being able to help guide them to a better financial future is truly rewarding and keeps me going each and every day.
Diane Blakeslee used to say, “if you take care of your clients first and foremost, you will have a long career and always be successful” an idea I strongly believe in. My aim is to develop a complete understanding of my clients personal and financial picture to build a plan that works to meet their goals based on risk tolerance, time horizon, and investment experience. I tailor each financial portfolio to reflect my client's specific objectives.

I have lived in San Luis Obispo since 1994 and throughout the county since 1985. Originally from Orange County, I made the choice to make the Central Coast my home and I count my blessings every single day.
I am a bit of a sports nut. I play golf, softball and enjoy wakeboarding at Lake Nacimiento. I also enjoy getting outdoors; hiking or backpacking wherever there might be a scenic vista or a place to drop a fishing line. My wife, Jessica, is a teacher at a local charter school. Together we are often found exploring the Central Coast.
For two years I was the Community Involvement Director of YPNG (Young Professionals Networking Group) and coordinated the volunteer opportunities for our members. I enjoy volunteering and have been active with many other organizations over the years.
